Role Overview
We are seeking a Project Executive to join our Construction team. This is a critical leadership position responsible for planning executing and overseeing multiple commercial mechanical and plumbing construction projects so that delivery is of high quality and meets our customers standards. The Project Executive leads a team of Project Managers to plan execute and finalize construction of multiple projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The ideal candidate has directly managed self-perform mechanical and plumbing scope on large commercial projects and has a track record of leading project teams.
Core Responsibilities
Lead teams of Project Managers Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
Oversee commercial mechanical and plumbing construction projects to ensure each project is constructed in accordance with design specifications budget and schedule.
Review project plans and specifications build project schedules recommend potential cost-saving measures and identify potential construction problems.
Complete job cost breakdowns and schedules of values and review and approve project billings.
Work with general contractors vendors and subcontractors to coordinate project schedules RFIs and change orders.
Order mechanical and plumbing materials as required and ensure delivery in accordance with project schedules.
Coordinate with field superintendents on manpower needs adjusting as required.
Conduct and attend pre-construction and post-construction meetings.
Manage multiple projects varying in scope simultaneously.
Maintain continuous communication with office personnel general contractors owners and others as needed.
Complete all required documentation electronically.
Oversee and continuously monitor project site safety for all involved at the site.
Serve as a direct customer contact and represent the company professionally to customers.
Lead the team by providing annual employee performance feedback within company guidelines and procedures.
Required Background
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship as sponsorship is not available for this position.
10 or more years of experience on commercial mechanical or plumbing construction projects including healthcare medical gas educational institutional military and similar project types.
Direct management of self-perform mechanical and/or plumbing scope. General contractor or owners representative contract management does not qualify.
Management of projects ranging in size and scope with a minimum self-perform contract value of $20 million.
Demonstrated experience successfully leading direct reports.
Experience with project cost-to-complete project financials and project closeouts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Required aptitude for construction.
Positive attitude professional demeanor and self-motivation.
Ability to work as both an individual contributor and a team player.
Healthcare and commercial project experience. Data center experience a plus. (Preferred)
Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or a related field. Equivalent years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. (Preferred)
OSHA 10-Hour certification. (Preferred)
OSHA 30-Hour certification. (Preferred)
