1. Plan schedule and monitor engineering projects from initiation through completion.
2. Review project specifications and requirements and prepare project plans and documentation.
3. Coordinate between engineering teams contractors suppliers and clients to ensure project goals are met.
4. Evaluate daily production schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performance.
5. Assist in budget preparation and cost tracking.
6. Identify risk elements of production materials equipment or process that could negatively impact the budget or schedule and develop mitigation strategies.
7. Ensure compliance with industry standards safety regulations and company policies.
8. Maintain accurate project records reports and documentation.
9. Remit accurate project quantities using assigned project cost coding to ensure project financials are accurately reported.
10. Provide technical support and problem-solving during project execution.
11. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality of work.
12. Prepare and deliver regular status reports to project management team.
13. Initiate and manage all Requests for Information (RFIs).
14. Review all certificates and permits needed to perform work.
15. Prepare work plans and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs).
16. Prepare submittals for approval for materials equipment formworks etc.
17. Hire motivate and lead a high-performing team through coaching top-tier talent retention and directed recruiting efforts.
18. Supervises team including training providing work direction problem-solving assistance reviewing performance recommending salary increases promotions transfers demotions and terminations.
19. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Louisiana

At a minimum the Project Engineer must have a bachelors degree in civil engineering construction management or related field of study along with 5 years of related civil construction experience on large project or a high school diploma or equivalent along with 9 years of experience of related civil construction experience on a large project. The Project Engineer must also have a current and valid drivers license.

1. Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public fellow employees vendors etc.
2. Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.
3. Ability to work as a team member and exert initiative to work independently to reach a goal.
4. Ability to embrace change in the workplace while encouraging others to seek innovative approaches.
5. Ability to function effectively as a team player and collaborator.
6. Ability to work a flexible work schedule additional and/or different hours including but not limited to nights weekends and/or holidays as needed to best serve the business operations.
7. Ability to maintain a current and valid drivers license.
