About the Role:
Project Engineers at OBrien Construction work alongside Project Managers Superintendents and Estimators to support the successful execution of construction projects from pre-construction through final completion and close-out. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer ready to take ownership of project details and contribute to work that is delivered on time on budget and built to a high standard. This role will support an upcoming ground-up project in Centerville OH with additional work to follow across the state of Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules budgets and plans.
- Manage document control including submittals RFIs and meeting minutes.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely material deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Assist with estimating extra work preparing correspondence and expediting project tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve project challenges.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Participate in the Job Rotation Program to gain valuable experience in various construction disciplines (Assistant Superintendent Assistant Estimator Assistant Project Manager).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow within the construction industry.
