Our Project Controls professionals work closely with Project Managers Project Engineers Engineering Leads Construction Teams Procurement Specialists and Client stakeholders to provide visibility predictability and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Roles may support projects in refining chemicals energy power life sciences food and beverage manufacturing mining infrastructure and other industrial sectors.

Position Summary

Project Controls professionals at Eichleay provide the systems processes analysis and reporting necessary to successfully deliver capital projects. Depending on experience and project requirements individuals may support project planning cost management scheduling forecasting estimating performance measurement risk management or integrated project controls functions.

Successful candidates combine analytical thinking with strong communication skills and the ability to influence project outcomes through accurate reporting proactive problem solving and data-driven recommendations.

Typical Responsibilities

(Responsibilities may vary based on assignment project size and level.)

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop maintain and analyze project schedules using P6 Primavera.
  • Support scope definition work breakdown structures (WBS) and execution planning.
  • Develop Level 1 through Level 4 schedules as appropriate.
  • Evaluate schedule performance and identify critical path impacts.
  • Facilitate schedule updates with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate interactive planning sessions.
  • Perform schedule risk assessments and recovery planning.
  • Prepare a basis of schedule.

Cost Engineering & Cost Controls

  • Develop project budgets and cost baselines.
  • Track project expenditures commitments accruals and forecasts.
  • Analyze cost performance and identify variances.
  • Support estimate validation and cost benchmarking activities.
  • Generate cost reports dashboards and management summaries.
  • Participate in forecasting and project financial reviews.
  • Accruals and cashflows.

Estimating

  • Prepare conceptual budgetary and detailed Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates.
  • Support proposal development and project planning efforts.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and estimate reviews.
  • Analyze historical project data and market trends to improve estimate accuracy.
  • Support contingency development and estimate risk analysis.
  • Facilitate estimate review meeting.
  • Prepare basis of estimate.

Project Controls Integration

  • Integrate cost schedule progress and forecasting information into meaningful performance metrics.
  • Support earned value management and performance analysis.
  • Facilitate project controls reviews with management and clients.
  • Develop KPIs dashboards and project health indicators.
  • Assist with project change management processes.
  • Support project audits and lessons learned initiatives.

Client & Team Collaboration

  • Participate in Client and Eichleay project team meetings.
  • Partner with project management and engineering teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Provide timely accurate communication regarding project performance and emerging risks.
  • Develop reports and presentations for leadership project teams and clients.
  • Support construction commissioning turnarounds and site execution activities as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirements may vary based on role project needs and level of responsibility.

Education

One of the following is preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Project Management Business Finance Economics or related discipline.
  • Associate degree with relevant project controls experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Experience

  • Experience supporting industrial manufacturing energy EPC EPCM owners engineering or capital project environments.
  • Experience in one or more project controls disciplines including cost scheduling estimating forecasting planning or project reporting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project execution processes and project lifecycle management.
  • Experience working in multi-discipline project environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 Microsoft Project Power BI Excel and related project controls software.
  • Working knowledge of cost management systems and project reporting platforms.
  • Understanding of earned value management principles.
  • Strong analytical forecasting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering procurement construction and project management data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate project status trends and risks to stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting projects in refining chemicals life sciences power mining food & beverage or similar industrial markets.
  • Demonstrated innovation initiative maturity and sound judgment.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve reporting forecasting analysis workflow efficiency and project decision-making while maintaining accountability and quality.

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Work may be performed remotely in an office client site refinery manufacturing facility laboratory or industrial environment.
  • Some positions may require site visits client interaction or travel.
  • Overtime or flexible schedules may be required based on project demands.
  • Must adhere to all site-specific safety security and operational requirements.
