As we prepare to expand to Orange County were looking for an outgoing organized relationship-driven Community & Events Manager to help introduce Brella to local families. Youll become one of the first faces of Brella in the communityhosting events connecting with parents building local partnerships and helping future families discover a new kind of child care.

About the Role
Youll work closely with Brellas marketing team to execute our local community engagement strategy leading up to a new center opening. This is a part-time temporary/project-based hourly role expected to average approximately 1015 hours per week with hours varying based on event schedule and project needs. Must have evening and weekend availability based on event needs.
As a Community & Events Manager You Will:
- Host approximately 2 community events each week (coffee meetups story times park playdates parent groups family festivals etc.)
- Identify new opportunities for Brella to connect with local families including pediatric offices libraries coffee shops fitness studios parent organizations schools community groups and local businesses.
- Build authentic relationships with community partners and represent Brella professionally at every interaction.
- Encourage families to join our interest list schedule tours and learn more about our programs.
- Collect email sign-ups and event leads while creating warm welcoming conversations with prospective families.
- Coordinate event logistics including supplies setup scheduling and follow-up.
- Work with the marketing team to promote upcoming events through community calendars Facebook groups Eventbrite newsletters and other local channels.
- Capture photos attendee feedback and event recaps to help us continuously improve.
- Share ideas for new community partnerships and creative ways to increase awareness throughout Newport Beach and surrounding communities in Orange County.
Ideal Experience and Knowledge:
- Event planning or event coordination
- Community engagement or grassroots marketing
- Brand ambassador experience
- Sales hospitality customer success or business development
- Parent organizations nonprofit education or family-focused organizations
- Social media and community outreach

Benefits
This is a part-time temporary/project-based hourly role. This role is eligible for:

The pay range for this part-time project-based position is $28.00 - $33.00/hour with final compensation determined based on experience and qualifications.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand walk and move around for extended periods during community events including both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Ability to lift carry set up and break down event materials and supplies generally up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to load unload and transport event materials between locations which may include walking short distances from parking areas to event spaces.
- Ability to bend reach and kneel as needed to set up tables signage activity materials and event displays.
- Ability to use a phone tablet or computer for event coordination lead capture photos/content submission and communication with the Brella team.
