Farm Family currently has an opportunity for a Programmer Analyst II to join the Information Technology this role the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality service and business results while partnering with colleagues across the organization to support strategic priorities and enhance operational effectiveness.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates an ability to communicate with the business representatives.
• Understands simple business requirements and can relate these to the supporting system requirements producing simple technical specifications for the work to be done.
• Creates readable reliable and maintainable code and configuration changes for Guidewire ClaimCenter.
• Maintains and enhances the relational database design underpinning Guidewire ClaimCenter.
• Performs unit and system testing using test plans and scripts approved by the business.
• Reviews test results with the business and makes the necessary adjustments to the deliverable.
• Follows the proper controls and collaborates with IT Operations to migrate code from development server environments to testing and production server environments.
• Identifies and rectifies errors in coding quickly showing initiative and a proactive approach.
• Creates updates and maintains technical documentation as required.
• Responds promptly to production issues and shares the responsibility of providing support for the claims administration product by serving on the on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree with a major in information systems computer science or a related field.
• One to two years of experience.
• Strong skills associated with the design development modification and deployment of software including object-oriented programming concepts.
• Supervisory/management experience not applicable.

Additional Considerations:

• Hands on experience with Java Development is helpful.
• Experience implementing web services and APIs is helpful.
• Familiarity with and working knowledge of enterprise relational database platforms is helpful.
• Knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter and/or Guidewire Cloud is preferred.
