Job Summary
The Vermont Department of Health Division of Substance Use Program is seeking an individual to support grant management subrecipient monitoring invoice reconciliation and Division operations. This role focuses on financial reconciliation grant compliance and audit readiness as well as overall Division operations. The Program Technician will collaborate with community grantees grant managers and the general public to ensure federal and state grant management regulation compliance.
This position Program Technician III - Limited Service (Job Requisition #55023) is open to all State employees and external applicants. It is a Limited Service position which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the accordance with AHS Policy 4.02 Hiring Standards Vermont and/or national criminal record checks as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks as appropriate to the position under recruitment will be conducted on candidates with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
Duties are performed predominately in an office setting. Private means of travel should be available for occasional travel when appropriate. Incumbents must be adaptable and able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress. Some evening and weekend duty may be necessary.
Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR Associates degree or higher AND three (3) years or more of experience above a technical level in program administration (such as administering components of a licensing and certification program or records management).
OR
High School diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years or more of experience above a technical level in program administration (such as administering components of a licensing and certification program or records management).
OR
Two (2) years or more of experience as a Program Technician II with the State of Vermont.
