Overview

Program Staff Supervisor

The Program Staff Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision support and oversight of Bachelor-level and other paraprofessional staff providing direct services through the Support and Stabilization Program. The Support and Stabilization Program provides flexible home-based and community-based services to meet the unique needs of children families and caregiver involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) with the goal of promoting safety permanency and well-being for children in Massachusetts.
The Program Staff Supervisors primary responsibility is the supervision of nonprofessional and paraprofessional direct service staff and the coordination of program operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality client-centered trauma-informed and culturally responsive services. The Program Staff Supervisor may provide direct client services as needed but is primarily responsible for staff supervision documentation of services communication with state agencies/community organizations service quality and operational coordination. The Program Staff Supervisor works closely with program leadership referral sources community partners and agency departments to ensure compliance with contract requirements agency policies and applicable regulatory standards.

Pay: $55000 - $60000 annually

Responsibilities

Staff Supervision and Development
Provide regular and ongoing supervision to Bachelor-level and lived-experience direct service staff who provide Support and Stabilization services.
Review the documentation of supervisees for completeness quality timeliness and compliance.
Monitor staff performance productivity service quality and adherence to program expectations.
Assist staff in developing engagement assessment safety planning care coordination and youth and family support skills.
Provide coaching mentoring and field-based support as needed.
Participate in onboarding training and performance evaluations of staff.
Address performance concerns and develop corrective action plans when necessary in conjunction with the Clinical Supervisor and/or Program Director.
Promote staff retention professional development and a positive team culture.


Program Operations and Service Delivery
Assist with case assignment and monitoring of referral response timelines and service accessibility requirements.
Ensure services are delivered in accordance with DCF Support & Stabilization program requirements and agency standards.
Maintain staffing coverage and coordinate schedules to meet family needs.
Facilitate and/or support DCF team meetings and case review meetings.
Support collaboration among program staff and other internal agency programs.


Quality Assurance and Compliance
Monitor compliance with DCF contractual requirements agency policies confidentiality regulations and applicable state and federal standards.
Ensure staff maintain required training certifications and competencies.
Assist with internal audits quality improvement activities and utilization reviews.
Monitor service outcomes and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.


Community and System Collaboration
Maintain collaborative working relationships with DCF staff Area Lead Agencies community providers schools healthcare providers and other stakeholders.
Represent the program at community meetings trainings and provider forums.
Support effective coordination of services across child-serving systems.


Direct Service Responsibilities
Provide direct services to children youth parents and families when needed to support program operations staff development coverage needs or complex situations.
Assist with engagement service planning care coordination resource linkage and stabilization activities.
Support staff in managing high-risk or complex family situations.


Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate supervision records and documentation of client care.
Assist with program reporting and data collection activities.
Support budgetary stewardship through efficient use of program resources.
Participate in agency committees meetings and organizational initiatives as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:Bachelors degree required
Driving license requirement:Standard drivers license class C or class D
Years of experience:0 3 years of related experience
