Additional Information
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1 2026.

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Public Health and Safety Division Vital Records/Issuance Unit in Helena.
The Issuance Program Officer helps the supervisor to oversee the vital records issuance program by ensuring the smooth processing verification and issuance of crucial documents including birth and death certificates. This position receives applications for delayed birth certificates reviews documents and creates certificates when proper documentation has been received. Other responsibilities include but not limited to: maintenance of precise program data; introduction of quality control procedures; facilitation of effective communication with stakeholders and clients; providing technical administrative and clerical support; ensuring compliance and confidentiality with relevant laws regulations and rules; and preservation of vital records in Montana.
