Role: Program ManagerReports to: DirectorProgram: 2301- Project Home Key Department: Interim HousingLocation: The Layover (Formerly Super 8/LAX) - 9250 Airport Boulevard Los Angeles CA 90045Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday 6pm - 2:30amStatus:Full-time/Exempt/Management Benefits:Medical Vision Dental Life Insurance 403(b) Retirement plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) :1Summary:The Overnight Program Manager is responsible for overseeing all overnight operations at the interim housing site ensuring a safe supportive and compliant environment for both clients and staff. This role provides direct supervision to overnight Support Specialists manages crisis intervention and site safety ensures completion of required documentation and HMIS reporting and maintains compliance with agency policies funder requirements and LAHSA Interim Housing Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop effective relationships with clients using a client-centered approach that includes motivational interviewing harm reduction and trauma Informed care principlesWork as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive integrated care to individuals experiencing homelessness mental illness and substance addictionProvide guidance to staff ensuring that they are able to implement appropriate interventions to reduce barriersPromote opportunities to support critical thinking among team membersProvide crisis intervention and triage servicesManage client grievances and ensure timely resolution of client complaintsWork with the Director to ensure that the physical site is well-maintained and safeProvide oversight of the daily operations of shelter including scheduling of staff and making sure that all shifts are appropriately coveredWork with management team to provide on call coverage for emergenciesDevelop expert knowledge of documentation required by the agency and the funders and ensure compliance with documentation standards including electronic databases and paper chartsWork within the CES system to ensure most vulnerable are being matched to best fit housing optionsManage intake process and ensure that all open beds remain filled with appropriate referral in timely mannerAssist with preparing data for reports to funders and track other data as directedResponsible for and overseeing internal site auditing of clients chartsEffectively represent agency at funding partner or collaborative meetingsProvide individual and team supervision support and performance evaluations for all direct reportsCo-Facilitate staffing meetingsEnsure adherence to agency policies and proceduresFacilitate weekly case conferencing to create a supportive environment and ensure reduction of barriers that prevent an individual from developing an appropriate housing planCommunicate effectively and in a timely manner with management peers collaborators and fundersCoordinate and collaborate with other agency programs to provide greater support and assistance to clients in this programMaintain client confidentiality at all times while following agency state and HIPAA lawsIncorporate life skills programming and other milieu and enrichments services into the program designConduct analogue and digital audits of client files and Clarity ProfilesManage site inventoryDevelop and improve programing identify and implement new systems when appropriate manage budgets and participate in hiringof all staffTrain staff on programmatic expectations including documentation boundaries and strength based approach to interventionsMaintain a current thorough knowledge of community resources and utilize these to provide services to clientsQualifications:High School Diploma or GED or EquivalentMinimum two years of experience in a nonprofit setting at an agency that provides services to individuals that have a history of homeless mental illness or are dually-diagnosedAt least two (2) years of leadership/management experience in an Interim Housing site preferredMinimum of two (2) years experience providing Case Management services to unhoused population requiredSkilled in non-violent crisis interventionDemonstrated knowledge of issues faced by population servedDetail oriented with excellent time management organizational written verbal interpersonal presentation teambuilding and computer skillsDemonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work independently and creativelyDetail oriented with excellent time management organizational written verbal interpersonal team building and computer skillsCurrent valid California Drivers License with an acceptable driving recordAbility to provide some evening and weekend hours to ensure continuity of careOn-call 24/7 is a requirementProficient in Microsoft Word Outlook Excel and database applicationsAble to obtain and maintain CPR/First-Aid certificationJob Description Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors DegreeMinimum one (1) year of supervisory experience strongly preferredTwo (2) Years Case Management experience strongly preferredStrong computers skills: all Microsoft Office programsExperience in Interim Housing programsJob Description Work Environment:Combination of field and office environmentRegularly required to sit stand bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 occasion walk or drive to different local sitesWill necessitate working in busy and loud environmentsWill be exposed to elements like cold heat dust noise and odorMay need to bend stoop twist and sit throughout the day
