Summary:
The Program Manager will be based in Austin TX (Flex Headquarters) reporting to the Director of Program Management.
In this role you will be In-charge of guiding a team of cross functional experts in the delivery of customer focused products and services and will hold up development and implementation of a project pricing and program strategies in order to continue to deliver value to the business and its customers.
Responsibilities:
- Organize plan and direct program schedules and budgets.
- In charge of tracking relevant metrics and drive action items based on results.
- Provide help knowledge and expertise with contract negotiations as required.
- Oversee all interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of all adherences made relative to product development timelines delivery quality and the required business metrics.
- Reviews projects proposal or plans to resolve time frame funding requirements procedures for accomplishing program staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of program.
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of program and arranges for recruitment or assignment of personnel.
- Manage the coordination of product life cycle activities with P&L and customer satisfaction also has control for different accounts of various complexities.
- Be the key channel of communication for customers and act as escalation in the event of customer issues.
- In charge of customer satisfaction reviews and corrective actions.
- Maintain current and develop additional business with customers.
- Monitor and track that project and program deliverables are met.
- Be accountable for maintaining excellent customer relations with both new and existing customers.
- Holds up production sites for projects costs and other customer related matters through business and expertise.
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelors degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in program administration/management or related areas from the following from these types of companies: contract manufacturers and/or automated manufacturing companies (automotive medical device defense/aerospace pharmaceutical or food and beverage).
- Experience leading Kaizen events Lean Six Sigma Green Belt are ideal/optional.
- Proficiency with MS Project required.
- Proficiency with MS Word Excel and PowerPoint. Must have experience presenting to VP-level leaders.
- Demonstrates advanced operations technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
- Accountability for the program wellness.
- Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
- Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/ technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas.
- Understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
- Excellent communication (verbal written presentation) interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
