Trailhead Institute as Provecho Collectives fiscal sponsor coordinates the logistics and multi-sector collaboration for these groups.

These groups work on specific projects with clear goals and timelines that move us closer to food sovereignty. Provecho Collective is a fiscally sponsored project of Trailhead Institute a nonprofit public health institute founded in 1993. Trailhead provides administrative oversight for Provecho Collective staff. Provecho Collective and Trailhead team members help build a regenerative organization that treats employees as people vs. cogs in a machine.

The Program & Evaluation Manager will support the implementation coordination and evaluation of Provecho Collectives food systems initiatives. This role bridges project management partnership coordination community-informed evaluation and organizational learning to support strategic decision-making and systems-level impact.
The Program & Evaluation Manager will work closely with the Director of Impact and Communications. This role helps operationalize evaluation frameworks facilitate collaborative initiatives support data-informed learning practices and strengthen cross-sector partnerships across Colorados food systems landscape. This position will be classified as Manager at Trailhead Institute.
This position will work a hybrid-remote schedule with a focus on Colorado communities and time at our downtown Denver office.
Responsibilities
Coordination & Implementation
- Coordinate implementation of food systems initiatives and collaborative projects in alignment with Provecho Collectives organizational priorities.
- Offer ongoing technical assistance to state-wide community partners to enhance their capacity for effective evaluation data utilization and improvement of food sovereignty services.
- Support project management timelines deliverables and implementation alignment across initiatives.
- Lead in coordinating meetings convenings and collaborative communications.
- Support cross-team coordination and organizational alignment.
- Facilitate collaborative spaces learning sessions and partner meetings.
Evaluation Learning & Data Support
- Support implementation of organizational evaluation and learning frameworks.
- Track program activities outcomes indicators and reporting needs through our data collection instruments including our CRM and other digital survey tools.
- Assist with qualitative and quantitative data collection organization and synthesis.
- Support development and maintenance of dashboards data tracking systems and visual reporting tools.
- Prepare summaries reports and learning documents to support strategic decision-making.
- Document lessons learned emerging trends and community-informed insights.
- Assist with research landscape assessments and synthesis of food systems trends and opportunities.
- Provide technical assistance and training to staff on data collection analysis and interpretation to ensure robust internal evaluation practices.
Partnership and Community Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations collaborators and coalitions to advance food justice and sovereignty across Colorado.
- Support coalition engagement and collaborative initiative coordination within Provecho Collectives convening spaces.
- Monitor emerging food systems issues opportunities and partner needs.
- Support collaborative learning and information-sharing across partners and sectors.
- Represent Provecho Collective at conferences events and meetings to promote awareness of data-driven approaches to improving food systems and access.
Required Qualifications
- Administrative experience with CRM systems dashboard development and data visualization.
- Experience leading evaluation support technical assistance or capacity-building services to community-based organizations.
- 47 years of professional experience in food systems (priority); or public health evaluation collective impact community resilience and related fields.
- Experience facilitating collaborative initiatives coalitions networks or cross-sector partnerships.
- Alignment with the mission vision and values of Provecho Collective.
- A proactive and self-starter mentality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Google Suite data analysis software and database management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within Colorados food systems food justice public health or anti-hunger landscape.
- Experience with community-centered participatory or equitable evaluation approaches.
- Professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of professional experience lived experience and education.
Desired Skills
Evaluation Learning & Data
- Experience collecting analyzing and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to support learning decision-making and program improvement.
- Ability to interpret data identify trends assess outcomes and develop actionable recommendations.
- Experience with evaluation methods including surveys interviews focus groups and other community-informed data collection approaches.
- Experience creating reports dashboards data visualizations and other tools that communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with data management systems CRM platforms and data visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau Airtable Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools; experience with statistical software such as R SPSS STATA or Python is welcomed but not required.
Project Management & Facilitation
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities timelines deliverables and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience designing and facilitating meetings trainings learning communities committees or collaborative processes involving diverse participants.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to move projects from planning through implementation.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity adapt to changing priorities and maintain focus on strategic outcomes.
Relationship Building & Community Engagement
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with community-based organizations public agencies funders and cross-sector partners.
- Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills that foster trust collaboration and inclusive participation.
- Experience working alongside diverse communities and supporting community-driven approaches to decision-making learning and resource allocation.
- Commitment to equity food justice language access and community leadership.
- Ability to provide technical assistance coaching and capacity-building support to partners and collaborators.
Strategic Thinking & Leadership
- Strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to connect evaluation findings community insights and systems-level trends to strategic recommendations and organizational learning.

Salary & Benefits
Salary range for this position is $. Trailhead Institute offers a generous benefits package including paid vacation and sick time health dental vision life short-term and long-term disability a free RTD EcoPass and a 401k with a 100% employer match up to 3% of compensation.
Funding is limited-term and future employment is not guaranteed.
This is a full-time exempt position with office facilities in Denver Colorado. This is a hybrid-remote position with a preference for candidates along the Front Range. The applicant selected for this position must reside in Colorado. All business is conducted in Mountain Time.
