What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):

Education: Must meet one of the following criteria:

• Masters degree in a social science fieldOR
• Bachelors degree in nursing along with valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Graduation from an accredited school of Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) or Psychiatric Technology (LPT).

Experience:

• At least eight (8) years of experience in the behavioral health field including a minimum of two (2) years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven experience in program development for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

License or Certification:

• Clinical/Mental Health: BBS licensure as an LMFT LCSW LPCC or Psychologist with the eligibility to provide clinical supervision is preferred.
• Nursing Alternative: Candidates without a masters degree in a social science field must hold a valid California license as a Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT).

Driver Requirements: A valid California Drivers License and current automobile insurance with a driving record that consistently meets the agencys eligibility policy.

How you will make a difference (job overview):

The Program Directorhas primaryresponsibility forclinical and operationaloversight of theMentalHealthRehabilitation Center (MHRC).Responsible for ensuringadherence to licensing/oversight regulations and company policies.

Division/Program Overview:

• MHRC is a 16 bed inpatient program that provides intensive support and rehabilitative services.
• The individuals served are 18-64 years old with mental health struggles that have necessitated placement in a state hospital or other intensive behavioral health facility.
• Comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric services are provided by a multidisciplinary team.
• The team supports individuals in developing the skills to become self- sufficient and increase levels of independence and functioning.
