RESPONSIBILITIES:The position functions as a Program Director for the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board Executive Institute responsible for coordinating organizing and overseeing departmental programs and projects. The role supports comprehensive planning scheduling and administrative management to ensure effective development and delivery of Institute initiatives. This position provides strategic leadership for regional training personnel and contracted instructors directing work priorities overseeing program implementation evaluating performance outcomes and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and statewide training initiatives by:

• Managing regional delivery of core curriculum programs.
• Overseeing the development revision and implementation of specialized training curricula designed for supervisors middle managers and chief executive officers incorporating contemporary best practices emerging leadership trends and evidence-based instructional strategies.
• Directing the planning strategic development and evaluation of statewide leadership conferences and professional development initiatives.
• Representing the Institute in regional engagements building relationships with law enforcement agencies professional associations and community partners to support program participation and strengthen statewide training initiatives.
• Ensuring accurate documentation reporting and communication related to regional program activities curriculum development instructor coordination and conference facilitation.
• Assisting with the Online Learning Network by developing updating and refining online curricula to meet evolving audience needs and ensure high-quality digital instructional content.
• Participating in bi-weekly virtual meetings to review strategy coordinate scheduling and define required action items. Occasional but rare travel to Macomb Illinois is expected for the in-person meetings.

MONTHLY WAGE:$6399-$7039 (Anticipated starting salary of $6399)

*This is a restricted position whose continuation beyond June 30 2027 is contingent upon the renewal of funding support which is reviewed annually.*

1. Masters degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Public Administration Higher Education Administration Education Organizational Leadership or a closely related field required.
2. Experience (6 years plus) serving in a command-level leadership position within a law enforcement agency managing a law enforcement training division or working within a higher education or accreditation environment.
3. Demonstrated knowledge gained through a minimum of eight (8)years of professional experience in law enforcement education training professional standards leadership development program evaluation and applied research methodologies including at least two years of experience working within the post-SAFE-T Act law enforcement and training environment.

WIU Intercollegiate Athletics

The Universitys athletics program based on the Macomb campus sponsors 17 NCAA Division I intercollegiate mens and womens varsity sports. All varsity sports compete at the Division I level through The Ohio Valley Conference.
