YMCA of Greater TulsaThe following position is currently available:POSITION NAME: Program DirectorLOCATION: The Y at East CentralJOB PURPOSE:Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director The Program Director for the Y at East Central will administer all functions related to Health Living and Play and Learn includes: group exercise fitness floor and Play and Learn operations. Functional Expertise: Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well; uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in and KNOWLEDGE:Required: Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent 2 years experience working in the wellness and fitness or Staff supervision of the YMCA as a nonprofit - English/: of budgeting & expense in ACE ACSM NSCA AFAA or CPR/AED/First Aid in nutrition physical education public health written and oral communication skillsPRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR HEALTHY LIVING: for budgeting for all areas of responsibility fitness floor group exercise & personal training growth of group exercise programs and other fitness related toward increase in membership effort to research and maintain cutting edge fitness and wellness classes and develop and lead wellness during For A Better Us relationship building skills in all wellness information including and timely with all assignmnts deadlines for all communication coming from fitness to the all administrative task ACTIVITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR HEALTHY LIVING: program budget controlling expenses & income generation for engaging age-appropriate programing and membership retention through engagement of members.4. Recruit develop and lead Play & Learn staff. 5. Assist branch in a leadership role participating in branch events and volunteering for committees benefiting recruiting developing and retaining volunteers for branch through Play & scheduling of programs at and timely with all assignments deadlines with all communication coming from Play & Learn to all departments within REQUIREMENTS:-High level of concentration and aptitude for learning wide variety of program information and new computer applications- Physically able to tour members inside and outside facility as needed-Must be able to move from branch to branch when and as needed potentially at a moments notice.-Physically able to sit stand move jump etc. as necessary to work with group exercise instructors & personal trainers.-Physically able to lift 45 pounds.-Ability to speak distinctly to communicate with customers and staff on the phone or in person.-Patience to deal with 5 or more people at the same time.-Sound judgment and problem-solving skills for dealing with daily issues in a variety of situations.
