Role Overview
We are seeking a ProgramDirectorwho will serveastheFoundingAfterschool Multi-Site Director overseeing fourafterschool includesthe overalldevelopmentmanagement and adherence to program excellence and ideal candidate is a skilledpositive youth developmentleader and manager. They are alsopassionate about social justice and committed to empowering students familiesschoolsand communities.
ResponsibilitiesWhatYoullBe Doing
Program Leadership
Launch and overseethedevelopment aoffourDYCD compassmiddle school afterschool programs.
EnsureeachPartnershipwith Childrenafterschoolprogram is implemented with fidelity to theorganizationalmodel.
Directthe development of annual work scopes rosters schedules etc. Monitor progress and negotiate changes with stakeholders.
Use data tomonitorprogramdecisionsandperformanceto continuously improve quality and outcomes
Be an active participant in Diversity Equity Inclusion (DEI) initiatives andutilizeyour knowledge and learning in your work.
Modeldevelopment and maintenance of key collaborative relationships including school principal school staff and various NYCPublic Schoolsstaff engaged at the school and District levels.
Team Leadership and Development
Develop staffs management and leadership skills including conflict resolution negotiation building andmaintainingeffective collaborations and using data to inform programmatic decisions.
Develop staffs ability to integrate into and engage with school culture through fostering positive relationships withschoolcommunity.
Leadonboardingand train staff members to both Partnership with Childrenand DYCD policies and procedures.
Conductweekly structured administrative supervision of direct reports.
Collaboratewiththe Talentand Recruitment team to hire site directors and afterschool staff.
Lead Site Directors throughhigh stakesyouth interventions.
Compliance and Operational Excellence
OverseeProvideprogrammatic fiscal and overall compliance oversight related to relevant contracts and funders including but not limited to DYCD NYCPS NYS DOE and ACS.
Manage program budgets and ensure responsible stewardship of resources
Ensure administrative records and data collection aretimelyand high quality.
Qualifications:What Makes a Successful Candidate
Program Leadership
At least 8years experienceworking with children with aminimum of2 yearsof progressive experience leading OST (Out-of-School Time) or similar youth/educational programs.
At least4years experienceas supervisor or manager andexperience overseeing multiple locations or a large team of program directors
Demonstrated understanding of high-need communities and public schools as well as social serviceeducationand behavioral health issues that impact students and their families
- Understanding of change management as it relates to organizations and schools; ability to support staff in being change agents;Superior engagementcommunicationand presentation skills with stakeholders including principals and parents
- Ability to form andmaintainstrong collaborative partnerships with colleaguesprincipalsand other strategic stakeholders
Superior engagementcommunicationand presentation skills with stakeholders including principals and parents
Experience working with middle schools
Team Leadership and Development
Exceptional managerial supervisory and staff development skills
Outstanding collaborator and consensus builder

Compliance and Operational Excellence
Deep knowledge of and experience with afterschool compliance. Experience withNYC Public SchoolsDYCD OCFS and DOH regulations is essential
Ability to adapt; encourage opennessflexibilityand creativity in meeting programmatic and regulatory needs
Flexible multi-tasker who can handle multiple priorities
Other
Bachelors degree in Education Youth Development Social Work Public Administration or a closely related fieldrequired.
Masters degree or a School-Age Child Care (SACC) credential (preferred)

Salary and Benefits:
Salary is $85000-$95000-commensuratewith credentials and experience.
