Description

The Program Coordinator I is responsible for providing administrative operational and programmatic support services to research program of the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine including two NIH-funded program.



Responsibilities
  • Provides operational and administrative support to the research program including:
    • Establishing and managing data use agreements consulting agreements and other research related contracts
    • Preparing submitting and maintaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols including amendments continuing reviews and study documentation
    • Tracking publication output and ensuring compliance with public access requirements
    • Managing website and intranet pages
    • Scheduling meetings and conferences and organizing site visits
    • Preparing presentation slides and other program materials
    • Securing purchase orders submitting invoices ensuring their timely payment and facilitating subject fee disbursements
    • Preparing and submitting travel and reimbursement requests
    • Requesting IT system access and equipment provisioning for program staff
    • Facilitating secure data management for research studies by requesting protected folders and managing access
  • Demonstrates continuous efforts to improve support operations and systems to streamline work processes and to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
  • Serve as liaison with personnel across departments and study sites to coordinate program activities accomplish program objectives and ensure resources are used effectively.
  • Establishes tracking systems to monitor deliverables of grant-funded programs
  • Coordinates and assists with the development of grant reports
  • Perform other duties as needed


Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the degree when the experiences are closely related to the duties of the job.
  • None required but 1-2 years administrative experience preferred
