SCHEDULE
This is a full-time exempt position. The THRIVE Center is designed to meet the needs of students and families during after-school and evening hours; therefore this position will primarily work an afternoon-to-evening schedule with one daytime shift each week to support alternate family schedules partner meetings planning activities and community engagement efforts.
At this time there is a minimum expectation of one Saturday per month. As the THRIVE Center grows and service partnerships expand a more regular Saturday schedule may be implemented based on participant and community needs.
We are seeking an innovative strategic and relationship-centered leader to support Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) launch and coordination of the THRIVE Center an exciting new collaborative initiative designed to make support simpler warmer and more accessible for children youth and families.
THRIVE will integrate educational support behavioral health care basic needs assistance and peer-to-peer connection under a single trusted roof. Its mission is to make help simpler warmer and faster for families and their children. Various county departments and community-based organizations will sustain THRIVE as a coordinated one-stop community center where students and their caregivers can access the full continuum of support they need to thrive during and outside of standard school hours and throughout the academic year.
The THRIVE Center is being developed through a collaborative partnership among BACR community organizations public agencies schools and local leaders committed to improving access to services and strengthening outcomes for children youth and families. As the operator of the THRIVE Center BACR will coordinate daily operations and partner collaboration to ensure families experience seamless access to services and support.
JOB SUMMARY
The Program Coordinator will play a central role in launching and operating the THRIVE Center during its early development and implementation phases. This is a unique opportunity to help build a new community resource from the ground up by developing partnerships establishing systems and processes coordinating services and creating a seamless experience for families accessing support.
Working closely with BACR leadership community partners and the THRIVE Leadership Committee the Program Coordinator will oversee partner coordination system development outreach efforts service integration and continuous improvement activities. This position will help shape the Centers infrastructure including referral pathways shared workflows data systems and collaborative practices that support effective cross-agency coordination.
The Program Coordinator will supervise the Centers Family Resource Navigator providing support coaching and reflective supervision while helping ensure high-quality participant experiences and effective service delivery. The Program Coordinator will also serve as a key relationship-builder ensuring that families partners and stakeholders experience THRIVE as a welcoming responsive and trusted community resource.
As the Center grows this role will guide implementation strengthen partnerships identify service gaps and support the ongoing development of innovative solutions that improve outcomes for children youth and families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and strengthen partnerships with co-located providers school districts county departments and community-based organizations to support integrated service delivery
Convene and facilitate partner meetings maintain partnership agreements and workflows and support alignment with Center goals and service commitments
Represent the THRIVE Center in community collaboratives stakeholder meetings and cross-system initiatives
Lead the development and implementation of Center infrastructure including intake systems referral pathways data-sharing procedures and service coordination protocols
Coordinate the calendar/scheduling for provider co-location at the THRIVE Center
Coordinate staffing onboarding scheduling and operational planning in collaboration with BACR leadership
Supervise and provide reflective supervision to the Family Resource Navigator while ensuring implementation of trauma-informed culturally responsive strengths-based and motivational interviewing-informed practices
Oversee daily Center operations to maintain a welcoming organized and effective environment for participants partners and staff
Support with intake navigation and participant engagement as needed to ensure a seamless no wrong door experience.
Lead outreach community engagement presentations and relationship-building efforts to increase awareness of the THRIVE Center and its services
Coordinate community events partner gatherings outreach activities and Center celebrations
Provide navigation support for families with complex needs requiring multi-system coordination or partner collaboration
Collaborate with partners and the THRIVE Leadership Committee to establish shared outcomes performance measures and evaluation strategies
Review program data participant feedback referral trends and service utilization to inform continuous improvement and decision-making
Use data and stakeholder input to identify service gaps strengthen partnerships and improve participant outcomes
Monitor budget expenditures support grant implementation and ensure completion of contract deliverables and reporting requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EDUCATION
Bachelors degree (B.A.) in Public Administration Social Work Human Services Education Psychology Public Health or a related field; and three years or more of progressively responsible experience in community-based programs youth services family support partnership development collective impact initiatives systems coordination etc; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience
Experience building and maintaining collaborative partnerships with public agencies schools community-based organizations and diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated leadership experience through supervision mentoring coaching project management team leadership or related responsibilities
Experience with program planning implementation evaluation continuous improvement processes and data-informed decision-making
Strong verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation public speaking presentations and stakeholder engagement
Commitment to advancing equity inclusion culturally responsive practices and family-centered approaches
Knowledge of trauma-informed practices family strengthening approaches community resources and systems navigation is highly desirable
Experience working with children youth families family resource centers schools community collaboratives or community-based organizations is highly desirable
