SREB does this through reliable data practical support for implementation and cross-state collaboration producing research state comparisons data services and publications that policymakers and practitioners use every day.Position Details
- SREB is hiring two Program Coordinators. Both openings will be filled from the same applicant pool the two strongest candidates will be selected.
- These positions are grant-funded with current funding running through December 2029 or July 2031 depending on the grant supporting each position. Additional grants may extend anticipated employment beyond those dates.
- These positions have a hybrid schedule that currently requires working in our mid-town Atlanta office every Monday and Tuesday and remotely Wednesday Thursday and Friday. When working remotely you must be available and free from distractions for the same working hours as in-office days. You may be required to report to the office other days as needed for business purposes however this is infrequent for this role.
About the Work
This is a coordination and administrative-support role assigned to one of SREBs program areas. Youll be the linchpin for the program organizing meetings and events maintaining records and contacts compiling data for reports and proposals and helping produce clear well-edited written materials. You will work closely with a program manager and team in achieving the grant deliverables. Its an individual-contributor role for someone who finds real satisfaction in doing coordination and support work well and where consistent work is genuinely valued.What Youll Do
- Coordinate the processes reports and agreements that keep the program area running smoothly.
- Compile and organize data for reporting including charts and tables for annual reports.
- Help plan and coordinate meetings conferences and workshops including logistics with other SREB staff and partner organizations.
- Serve as a point of contact for program members and partners answering questions by phone and email.
- Assist with producing presentations reports newsletters flyers and other materials.
- Maintain an accurate up-to-date contacts database for the program.
- Maintain relationships with program members partners participants and state agencies.
- Partner with the program manager and Communications staff on website content and e-communications.
- Contribute ideas and support to strengthen how the team serves its members and partners.
What You Bring
Required:- Two to four years of project management or administrative support experience.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several ongoing tasks and deadlines at once.
- Comfort working independently day to day with regular check-ins rather than close supervision.
- Clear accurate writing and editing skills for presentations reports and correspondence.
- A professional easygoing manner with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel data functions as well as solid working knowledge of standard office software; comfort learning program-specific tools.
- Ability to travel overnight.
- Ability to create Google forms with QR codes for meeting or training sign-in.
- Ability to support large-group Zoom or MS Teams meetings including breakout rooms
- Event planning experience preferred
- Grant experience preferred
