Job Summary
The Professional Learning (PL) Coordinator is located within the Educator Learning Research and Practice (ELRP) department and reports to the Assistant Director of Professional Learning Operations. This position collaborates with the Assistant Director of Professional Learning Operations the Assistant Director of Delivery Professional Learning Coordinators and cross-functional partners to coordinate the planning scheduling and delivery of WIDAs professional learning portfolio. The coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for State Education Agencies (SEAs) contractors licensed vendors and other partners providing responsive customer service maintaining a working knowledge of WIDAs professional learning portfolio and coordinating professional learning engagements from planning through delivery.
The PL Coordinator manages professional learning schedules calendars facilitator assignments participant enrollment webinar logistics event communications and other operational processes that support virtual and in-person learning opportunities. The coordinator coordinates professional learning engagements involving WIDA facilitators contractors and licensed vendors maintains professional learning engagement information and operational data in Salesforce and collaborates with internal teams to ensure professional learning engagements are delivered efficiently and in alignment with established processes. The position exercises independent judgment in coordinating multiple concurrent engagements resolving scheduling and operational issues and providing webinar moderation support to ensure successful delivery of virtual professional learning events.
Remote work is an option for this position on a voluntary basis; however due to UW policy and travel expectations this position requires living in Madison WI or the surrounding area as occasional on-site work at our Madison office will be required.

WIDA operates in a Windows-based environment and a Dell PC laptop will be issued for use in this and virtual connection tools that are critical to our work dictate that WIDA staff work on a PC.

- Directs the implementation of program policies and procedures
- Coordinates virtual and in-person program operations including facilitator assignments participant enrollment webinar support data management and resolution of operational issues.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for stakeholders and partners providing customer service and coordinating communications related to program participation and delivery.
- Identifies promotes and maintains internal and external partnerships to promote the outreach program
- Schedules and secures logistics and resources in support of an outreach program
- Schedules day-to-day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers
- Identifies opportunities for program improvement or new outreach program development
School of Education / WIDA
Minimum: $50000.00 annually
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Minimum of 1 year experience coordinating programs projects or professional learning initiatives.
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing customer service and building relationships with internal and external partners.
Experience managing data records or tracking systems including CRM or database systems.
Experience coordinating virtual and/or in-person events meetings trainings or learning experiences.
Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
Experience working in professional learning education K12 systems higher education or related field.
Experience using Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) systems to track engagements manage records and support operational workflows.
Experience hosting and moderating meetings on web platforms (e.g. Canvas Zoom or similar platforms).
Experience moderating virtual meetings webinars or professional learning events.
Bachelors degree required
