Production Worker III - 1st Shift onsite at our Jacksonville FL Blount Island location. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

First shift M Th 7 am 3:30 pm Fridays alternate between 5 am 1:30 pm and 7 am 3:30 pm.

What You Will Do

• Manufacture and repair composite naval products using polyurethane fiberglass epoxy resins and similar materials

• Perform fabrication processes including casting composite lay-up vacuum bagging bonding preparation cutting trimming and repair

• Set up load and operate manufacturing equipment including presses ovens autoclaves and production tooling

• Read and follow engineering drawings planning documents and detailed work instructions

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met before Quality Control

• Use manual electric and pneumatic tools to assemble and disassemble large molds fixtures and steel structures

• Record production data and labor time using Excel and Autotime

• Collaborate with technicians supervisors and engineers to safely manufacture products and solve production issues

• Work overtime as needed to support production schedules

What You Will Learn

• Composite manufacturing processes and materials

• Operation of specialized manufacturing equipment

• Quality inspection and production documentation

• Production tracking systems (Excel and Autotime)

• Powered industrial vehicle operation (certification provided)

• Team-based manufacturing supporting U.S. Navy programs

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

Requirements of this position:

• Perform physically demanding work including climbing bending crawling and prolonged standing

• Willingness to obtain powered industrial vehicle certification

• Frequently lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. with assistance

• Work in a hot manufacturing environment

• Wear a respirator and safely work around chemicals

Qualifications We Prefer

• Manufacturing industrial or labor experience
• Composite or rubber manufacturing experience including frozen pre-preg materials
• Urethane Casting experience
• Aerospace or marine manufacturing experience
• Active DoD Security Clearance
