Principal Accountabilities:
- Lead and promote safety food safety quality standards and housekeeping practices
- Serve as the primary point of contact for management initiatives work orders and team communications
- Safely and efficiently operate site equipment including bagging machines shipping systems and motorized vehicles
- Support onboarding of new employees and contractors and deliver ongoing training through daily shift handoffs and safety meetings
- Perform approximately 50% of the same tasks as the team being supervised
- Ensure full compliance with all safety rules and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat cold dust loud noise etc. with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending lifting up to 50lbs kneeling climbing crawling and twisting with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work overtime including weekends holidays or different shifts with advance notice
- Must have a valid drivers license or ID
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in production-related work
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Forklift certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer skills for data entry related to label production and the ability to monitor inventory and shipment completion; experience with warehouse/shipping systems SAP or inventory management software
- Experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment (e.g. packaging machinery)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a positive and professional manner
- Consistently demonstrates strong safety leadership
