Job Summary

Job Summary:**
Oversee and coordinate the activities of production workers on the D Shift ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing operations during night hours. This role focuses on maintaining production schedules optimizing resource utilization and fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Supervise and direct a team of production operators technicians and other manufacturing personnel during the night shift (D Shift).
* Ensure production targets are met or exceeded in terms of quantity quality and efficiency.
* Monitor production processes and equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly minimizing downtime.
* Implement and enforce all company policies procedures and safety regulations.
* Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specified standards.
* Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing staff.
* Prepare and maintain accurate production reports including shift summaries output data and incident reports.
* Collaborate with other supervisors and departments (e.g. maintenance quality control) to optimize overall plant performance.
* Troubleshoot production problems and implement corrective actions.
* Manage employee attendance performance and disciplinary actions as needed.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree in a manufacturing-related field preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
* Proven experience working night shifts is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes quality control and safety procedures.
* Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate train and develop a diverse team.
* Proficiency in using manufacturing software and basic computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
