Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision of day-to-day assigned operations department. Supporting the Production Operations Manager in monitoring and improving plant productivity.
Position Details: 12-hour rotating shift (48 hour week/36 hour week)
The compensation range for this position is$76120.00-$ addition to the regular compensation this role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
What Youll Be Doing:
Oversee assigned department production shift activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency.
Ensure assigned shift is compliant with sanitation requirements. May provide support in the monthly sanitation inspections and implementation of any corrective actions as necessary.
Commitment to supply safe food maintain a food safety culture within the site continually improve the sites food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
Approve daily reports and KPRs for the assigned shift.
Provide Production Operations and/or Plant Manager to plan annual shutdowns.
Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance of assigned shift in all aspects.
Help develop and drive Operations Excellence Plans to meet safety quality and production goals and show continuous improvement in assigned shift.
Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the assigned shift.
Monitor KPRs and help develop plans to bring assigned shift in line with Operations Excellence goals.
Participate in personnel investigations and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Chemical Engineering or a related field required or equivalent progressive experience or 3 years of experience in related industrial manufacturing environments.
Proficiency with basic computer skills including Lotus Notes Microsoft Word and other technical software packages as needed
Ability to work odd hours weekends and rotating shift schedule required.
