Job Summary:

As a Production Supervisor I youll lead a team in one of our manufacturing areas while learning the fundamentals of aerospace operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems working with people and wants to grow into an operations leader. Youll partner with engineering quality operations facilities and supply chain while learning how world-class aerospace products are built.

Youll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and support a team of manufacturing employees (10-15 people)

  • Learn how to manage production schedules and meet customer commitments

  • Develop your leadership style through coaching and mentoring employees

  • Work alongside engineering and quality teams to solve real manufacturing challenges

  • Use Lean Manufacturing tools and participate in Kaizen events

  • Drive continuous improvement projects that improve safety quality and efficiency

  • Learn how aerospace products move from raw material to finished product

  • Build experience making staffing scheduling and operational decisions

Were looking for people who have:

  • Education: Bachelors degree

  • Experience: 2 years of experience leading teams. Experiences could be related to an internship co-op campus leadership athletics military service retail food service or other leadership experience.

  • Knowledge: Intermediate skill level with MS Office.

  • Skills Abilities: Strong communication (written and verbal) with all levels of business; ability to present to groups both small and large effective problem-solving skills; desire to learn and grow as a leader; positive attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Eligibility Requirement:This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience within an aerospace or electronics manufacturingenvironment

  • Basic understandingof manufacturing based continuous improvement skills (standard work 5S materialreplenishment etc.)

Work Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limitedto eye safety glasses gowning masks hearing protectors heel/wrist straps and any otherrequired PPE

  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises cold temperaturesconfined spaces dust or fumes

  • Standing: 25% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

  • Sitting: 75% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

  • Lifting (in pounds): up to 25 pounds

  • Pushing (in pounds): up to 25 pounds

  • Mental/Visual: use of computer

Several factors contribute to actual salary including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities skills training and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
