Production Supervisor

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Responsibilities for Production Supervisor include but are not limited to:

• A commitment to Safety Environmental Quality and Productivity through demonstrated integrity and leadership within their work group.
• Overseeing the safe operations of manufacturing shipping and receiving of metal building components as prescribed by specifications and order releases.
• Familiarity of machinery and manufacturing processes for each line/department.
• Identifying process improvements that result in efficiency and cost savings.
• Communication within the division and buildings group to ensure solid teamwork and a productive work environment.
• Review teammate performance determine coaching needs set clear expectations and provide regular feedback.
• Interviewing hiring development and accountability for teammates within the group.
• Travel with short notice.
• Commitment to living Nucors values and influencing teammates to do the same.
• Growth mindset and commitment to bettering department and division.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous leadership experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office

• 2 years of experience in related field
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations
• Experience with coaching and mentoring
• Experience with troubleshooting production lines and material handling systems
