Job Summary
RPI LLC (Located in Green Bay WI) is a part of Premier Outdoor Living an entrepreneurial manufacturer that produces products for the outdoor living space. POL consists of 3 unique businesses Spa cabinets HDPE Lumber and Outdoor Furniture. We operate 3 facilities 2 in Pennsylvania and 1 in Wisconsin that support the three businesses. This position is to support RPI and will be based in Green Bay.
Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production team to ensure work is completed safely efficiently and according to quality standards. This role focuses on supporting employees managing workflow resolving day-to-day operational issues and ensuring production goals are met. The Supervisor works closely with team members on the production floor provides guidance and coaching and helps maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production employees to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Monitor workflow staffing and production schedules to meet daily production goals.
Provide hands-on leadership support and direction to employees throughout the shift.
Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment.
Monitor product quality and ensure employees follow established quality standards and procedures.
Train coach and support employees on job duties work instructions and company expectations.
Address employee concerns attendance issues and performance matters in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with assigning work tracking productivity and adjusting priorities as production needs change.
Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety productivity organization and workflow.
Ensure work areas remain clean organized and compliant with housekeeping standards.
Communicate production updates issues and operational needs with management and other departments.
Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
Complete required production reports documentation and daily records accurately.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Skills and Experience:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to supervise employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities throughout the shift.
Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to work flexible schedules including overtime or weekends as needed.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes safety practices and quality expectations preferred.
Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive team-oriented work environment.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing production or team lead experience preferred.
Prior supervisory experience is helpful but not required.
On-the-job leadership experience and strong attendance/work history will be considered.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the production facility.
Frequent bending reaching stooping and lifting during the work shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Ability to visually inspect products equipment and work areas.
