Position Summary

The Master Planner II identifies and prioritizes production requirements to coordinate the flow of materials and parts to meet production schedules. This role establishes maintains and tracks weekly and monthly production schedule. Provide daily production records. Provide weekly and monthly production and inventory reports. These duties are performed with minimal supervision and considerable latitude.

This role requires in-person work 5 days/week in St Louis MO. This role isnot eligible for Visa Sponsorship or H1B Transfer.

What Youll do as a Master Planner II

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop maintain and execute daily and weekly production schedules aligned with sales demand and operational objectives
  • Own and adjust production schedules to maintain production targets and respond to changing conditions
  • Determine optimal sequencing of production runs across manufacturing and packaging lines
  • Translate weekly production plans into optimized executable schedules

Inventory Management

  • Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels
  • Minimize excess inventory while preventing shortages and supporting cash flow objectives
  • Investigate and resolve material shortages and inventory imbalances
  • Maintain accurate inventory records (manual and system-based)

Operational Coordination & Issue Resolution

  • Collaborate with manufacturing planning and supervisors to address material labor or equipment constraints
  • Adjust schedules to resolve bottlenecks caused by downtime shortages or disruptions
  • Expedite materials and parts from vendors as needed
  • Coordinate material availability delivery schedules and requisitions

Reporting & Data Management

  • Track and report production performance schedule adherence and productivity metrics
  • Provide daily production records and weekly/monthly production and inventory reports
  • Monitor and report scheduling accuracy and production attainment
  • Analyze capacity and production data to support decision-making

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as liaison between Sales Supply Chain Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Communicate production status risks and delivery updates to stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within production and planning processes

The Experience Skills and Abilities Needed

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Operations Supply Chain Business or related
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with inventory scheduling or materials management.
    • OR High School Diploma/GED
    • Plus 10 years of business experience of which 5 of those years are in manufacturing and supply chain
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with production computer systems and processes

Preferred

  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze plant capacity data and execute mathematical calculations for capacity planning.
  • Organization & Time Management: High multitasking ability to juggle multiple high-priority orders and handle dynamic fast-paced environments.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to quickly make judgment calls on re-sequencing contracts and mitigating schedule interruptions.

Pay range for this opportunity is $68637.50 - $88825.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors including but not limited to local labor market costs years of relevant experience education professional certifications foreign language fluency etc.
