Job Summary
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assure inventory and delivery goals are met and drive for the goal of zero customer disappointments while meeting business inventory levels
- Enhance the current processes through the use of Lean methodologies
- Assure the continued development and growth of assigned personnel through strong leadership
- Work to control inventory levels cycle time work center loads and other aspects as required to meet production schedules
- Set strategic direction for planning and scheduling activities within the organization
- Provide leadership in working with Commercial Operations on developing production forecasts (S&OP) and managing factory lead times
- Lead the organization by establishing PCBA schedules
- Responsible for Shipping/Receiving/Material Handling/Warehouse functions
- Manage team of: production planners receiving stock handlers shipping inventory management warehouse and international shipping logistics
- Lead yearly Physical Inventory activity reduce ERP variances
- Contributes to S&OP materials planning based on projected demand
- Monitor Inventory levels weekly to assure alignment to targets
- Provide Feedback to Purchasing Materials Manager as it relates to material needs and planned consumption
- Report KPI Metrics monthly on Inventory levels Delivery Performance Disposition of excess and obsolete material including auction of excess parts
- Escalate key component shortages within GE Grid Automation
- Mine data from ERP system on a regular basis
- Readjusts production schedules based on component shortages
- Maximizes production efficiency with scheduling aligned to constraints
- Utilizes pull methodologies to drive product flow
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or higher degree in related field or relevant work experience.
- Minimum 4 years experience in a Materials Planning Role
- Extensive experience using an ERP system such as Oracle or SAP
- Experience leading production planning teams
- Reports to Plant Manager

- Knowledge of PCBA and final assembly manufacturing process
- Familiarity with production control systems and routines
