What You Will Do

  • Development and ownership of the inventory plan (Raw WIP and Finished Goods) aligned with AOP/SFP objectives including defining action items to achieve targeted outcomes
  • Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of materials to production lines (on time starts) and customers by managing planning staging and fulfillment processes
  • Support quarterly analysis of Excess & Obsolete (E&O) PFEP (Effective Material Planning (EMP) and Entitlement including the development and execution of resulting action items
  • Coordinate with the manufacturing team to manage changes in production priorities or order modifications
  • Champion continuous improvement for material planning receiving storage staging and WIP control
  • Assess workload requirements to ensure adequate staffing is in place to support business operations and facilitate training and development of employees
  • Manage the material strategy to support the New Product Introduction to End of Life
  • Oversee the end-to-end materials process for the site including planning detailed scheduling logistics and delivery commitment and lead strategic inventory initiatives
  • Accountable for inventory control (e.g. cycle counting) ensuring stock is maintained at an appropriate level and meet site NITO targets
  • Play a key role in the manufacturing automation strategy material release strategy handling methods kitting strategy and material movement methods for all parts from storage location through to final delivery
  • Support site SIOP reviews
  • Monitor and report on key metrics for the site ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Manage the execution of production schedules set by Production Planners
  • Manage the coordination of Production Planner engagement across the Product Management Team (PMT): master production schedulers quality engineering purchasing inventory control program management leaders and other groups and remove barriers as they arise
  • Communicate any changes or production impacts that affect the aligned production plan
  • Track and report execution metrics such as Schedule adherence and On time to release Production Orders and address root cause corrective action as applicable
  • Summarize and present material availability data for the S&OE horizon to site leadership
  • Mentors guides and trains all Production Planners while setting performance goals aligned with organizational objectives

What You Will Learn

  • Develop expertise in capacity management identifying and addressing long-term capacity gaps to meet customer demands and support the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning process.
  • Refine your leadership abilities by driving part shortage resolutions overseeing operations to ensure schedule adherence and contributing to risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor Production Planning processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Attend site Tier meetings support escalation processes and report on the latest material availability priorities and challenges to execute the production plan
  • Track and report execution metrics (Schedule adherence On Time to Release Production Orders Aged WIP
  • Ensure compliance with company policies materials governance and audit requirements
  • Resolve escalation of material shortages bottlenecks and disruptions; manage the implementation of recovery schedule and mitigation plans with cross-functional team

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • SAP Experience
  • Capacity Planning experience
  • Experience driving product flow and on time delivery
  • Demonstrated leadership competency
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizensare authorized to access information under thisprogram/contract

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
