Production Operator II (Pitman Day Shift)

Job Summary
Summary of Position
As a Production Operator II you will be responsible for operating your assigned position in a safe and efficient manner to optimally produce quality work. This may include the placement and testing of electrical components cleaning of finished products or loading of raw materials into machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines to position.
- Clean and prepare workstation and machines.
- Assemble and test components and ensure adherence to specified requirements soldering experience is an asset.
- Perform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components parts and systems.
- Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies.
- Check final assembly for finish labelling and packaging methods.
- Production reporting
- Ensure profitable business operations.
- Complete other tasks as required and/or directed.
- Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures and related labor laws.
Qualifications :
Skills
- Hand-eye coordination manual dexterity ability to distinguish between colors.
- Ability to read understand and follow work instructions in English.
- Basic computer literacy.

Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 years Production experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds independently and participate in team lifts of approximately 60 pounds as required for essential production tasks.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position or move throughout the production floor for extended periods (for the duration of the shift up to 8 hours per shift).
- Must be able to operate position adjust or move equipment tools or materials necessary for production processes.
- Capable of performing consistent manual production tasks over long shifts.
- Must be able to work in typical manufacturing environmental conditions including areas requiring PPE exposure to noise and temperature variation.
