Responsibilities Include
- Daily management of the molding department covering mold set-ups thermoplastic processing and basic machine maintenance across every production cycle.
- Set up and operate injection molding equipment including auxiliary machinery robots packaging units and tumblers ensuring smooth assembly workflows across every shift.
- Monitor critical parameters like temperature pressure and cycle times raising issues promptly to maintain target output as an attentive machine operator.
- Inspect finished components to confirm full alignment with customer standards taking ownership as a meticulous quality inspector on the line.
- Use precise measuring tools including a caliper and a micrometer to verify part dimensions against technical inspection blueprints.
- Conduct additional dimension checks using a caliper to maintain continuous precision throughout manufacturing operations.
- Verify material thicknesses with a micrometer to satisfy quality control requirements before final packaging.
- Maintain clean workspaces observe FOD controls and apply 5S principles before during and after operations across the warehouse floor.
- Complete all required documentation correctly and legibly while working under minimal supervision.
- Support overall team success by performing additional tasks assigned by the Department Strategist.
Skills / Qualifications
- High School diploma GED or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of background in injection molding setup basic machine maintenance thermoplastic processing and robotics operation.
- Hands-on experience operating a caliper a micrometer and specialized manufacturing machinery.
- Practical background working within a warehouse setting including forklift operation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to follow strict instructions.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and maintain regular attendance on production schedules.
- Demonstrated history working effectively as a reliable machine operator across high-volume production setups.
- Prior experience acting as a quality inspector to uphold product integrity during component assembly.
