Freeport TX - Victoria St (HYCO) - HYCOAir Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen nitrogen hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals petrochemicals refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.

Job Responsibilities :
Leads on-the-job training and mentoring efforts of facility personnel
Support technician training qualification record keeping
Review training system content with AL corporate training and align with LI NAM facilities
Recommends technician progression based on competency assessments
Follows all Food Safety FDA and cGMP policies in operating practices
Leads verification of Batch Production Log Reports
Demonstrates identified skill sets in daily operational duties
Operations and plant startup assistance/coverage
Instills safety in others by being safety minded; models good safety practices
Plant inspections are part of a day technicians daily routine to identify corrective / preventative actions
Participate / coordinate in maintenance job walkdowns with other disciplines and service providers
Participates in the planning of operational/routine maintenance tasks within the facility work group without interruption of customer product deliveries
Leads open communication amongst all facility technicians in relation to best practices operational/facility needs safety issues/concerns conflicts of interest between shifts/other departments sharing operational knowledge/expertise
Communicate relevant topics as identified by plant management to all shift technicians. This includes topics such as safety human relations training technical information etc.
Assists/works closely with the Operations or Plant Manager around the daily facility requirements and needs
Assist train or participate with the loading of operational (corrective) maintenance work orders in MAXIMO
Play a leading role in preparations for facility Turnaround planning preparation and safe execution
Conducts acceptance PSSR reviews with operations and maintenance
Keeps accurate records; diligent in documentation record retention policies/procedures
Studying/maintaining site-specific standard operating procedures P&IDs PFDs all other technical documentation as relates to operational/equipment processes
Escorting on-site contractors vendors guests or visitors throughout the facility as needed; ensures their compliance with national safety policies/procedures
Participation in facility safety meetings inspections and audits
Do daily spot checks on lock out tag outs as well as on the permit to work system
Operate Truck Auto-Loading System (TAS) as necessary
Follows policies/procedures on proper notification for vacation scheduling floating holidays personal days off

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
2 year Associates Degree in a technical field or technical training preferred
6 years of related industrial operations experience
Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts as needed for coverage
Overall understanding of plant safety rules regulations company safety policies/procedures Performs all work in compliance with standard operating/maintenance procedures utilizing current Life Safety skills Safe Start and safety requirements including safe work permits energy control isolation IDLs confined space entry work hot work work plans pre-job discussions plant safety inspections etc
Knowledge/ability in all plant operations including processes/equipment
Exhibits understanding of governmental regulations including Food Safety FDA Current Good Manufacturing Practices and environmental permitting/compliance loading /quality assurance basic electricity national/local operating procedures CMMS maintenance management process all HSE issues associated with the facility Exhibits mechanical ability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior industrial gas experience.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work extended hours and shift work as business needs dictate
On call nights weekends and holidays as required
Occasional travel typically 3 to 4 trips per year
Has full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders and work off elevated platforms/surfaces.
Ability to work in a non-conditioned environment for extended periods.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to work in flash suit for testing and troubleshooting
