Production Manager Description

Our client is looking for a Production Manager to add to their team in Farmingdale NJ. Reporting to the Operations Director you will oversee day-to-day production receiving blending bagging and warehouse operations at the companys primary facility. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for production performance inventory accuracy quality safety and workforce management. You will lead an Assistant Production Manager 3-line leads and hourly production employees while also supporting satellite warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is a floor-oriented leader who enjoys being directly involved in the operation developing their team solving problems and identifying opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency. Production Manager Responsibilities

Lead daily production blending packaging receiving and warehouse operations
Direct coach and develop Assistant Production Manager and line leads
Build and manage production schedules based on demand inventory and seasonal needs
Oversee receiving lot verification sampling traceability storage and FIFO rotation
Manage packaging operations including bagging baling stacking palletizing and load quality
Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee cycle counts replenishment staging and shipping
Monitor production performance uptime scrap rework labor efficiency and other KPIs
Enforce quality standards corrective actions and production hold procedures
Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment issues and improve uptime
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety quality and environmental requirements
Manage seasonal staffing training scheduling and employee performance
Support and evaluate satellite warehouse operations and share best practices
Serve as the operational liaison with key suppliers
Drive continuous improvement across operations

Production Manager Qualifications

Experience in production environments involving blending mixing and packaged products required
5 years of leadership experience in production packaging or warehouse operations required
Experience managing leads and hourly employees required
Demonstrated willingness and ability to lead from the floor required
Hands-on experience with packaging line operations and equipment required
Fluency in English and Spanish required
