Production Manager

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Production Manager for our Farmington Hills Michigan manufacturing this role you will lead daily production across assigned areas while developing teams and driving safety quality efficiency and continuous improvement.

• Work Arrangement: On-site

• Schedule: Flexible daytime schedule

• Pay: $100000-$115000/year

• Employment Type: Full-time / Salary

• Lead day-to-day operations across assigned production areas ensuring output quality safety and efficiency targets are consistently met.

• Oversee production machinery assembly processes quality control packaging and related workflows to support efficient operations.

• Manage staffing levels employee training and workload distribution to support production goals and maintain a balanced operation.

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet production demand while minimizing excess stock and optimizing space.

• Collaborate with R&D product development and engineering facilities management maintenance and customer service teams to align production with organizational priorities.

• Identify and resolve operational issues coordinate effective solutions and use production data to improve efficiency reduce waste and strengthen product quality.

• Lead initiatives that improve workflows equipment utilization production planning quality control and overall operational performance.

• Ensure production activities follow internal policies and applicable safety environmental and quality standards; maintain required production reports inventory logs and compliance records while reinforcing 5S and continuous improvement practices.

• Bachelors degree.

• At least 6 years of experience in manufacturing or production management including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

• In-depth knowledge of production processes machinery quality control and inventory management.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and regulatory compliance.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse production team and support a positive productive work environment.

• Ability to quickly identify operational issues and implement effective solutions that keep production on track and maintain quality standards.

• Ability to develop short- and long-term production plans that align with organizational goals and improve efficiency and profitability.

• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

• Experience with process optimization lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess production data identify trends and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
