Caterpillar is seeking an Assembly Production Manager in Brooklyn Park MN. The Assembly Production Manager leads frontline manufacturing teams to safely deliver highquality paving products while achieving People Quality Velocity and Cost (PQVC) goals. This role is responsible for daily assembly operations employee engagement schedule execution and continuous improvement in a fastpaced production environment.

What you can look forward to in this role:

Lead coach and engage hourly and salaried assembly teams to achieve PQVC performance goals while fostering a strong safetyfirst culture.

Drive quality excellence with a clear focus on a zerodefect manufacturing environment leveraging root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Actively identify escalate and mitigate safety risks partnering with EHS to prevent incidents and improve workplace conditions.

Develop and adjust production schedules to support velocity targets while balancing manpower equipment and parts availability.

Lead operational decisionmaking to determine optimal build strategies while minimizing risk and controlling costs.

Partner crossfunctionally with Supply Chain Materials Logistics Quality and Engineering to drive issue resolution and continuous process improvement.

Monitor staffing levels overtime needs and skill coverage; address manpower issues to maintain consistent production flow.

• Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organizations performance management system practices and tools to developing and improving individual team and organizational performance.
• Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

Proven leadership experience in assembly or manufacturing production operations.

Strong employee engagement and team motivation capabilities.

Working knowledge of PQVC (People Quality Velocity Cost) operating frameworks.

Ability to drive quality performance toward zerodefect standards.

Experience identifying and addressing safety risks in a production environment.

Demonstrated capability to manage schedules manpower and production priorities.

Strong problemsolving skills including the ability to think outside the box during operational constraints.
