Production Equipment Maintenance Technician

Company:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Production Equipment Maintenance Technician to join the A&I Production Equipment Maintenance Team in North Charleston South Carolina on Variable shift.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance on factory equipment

• Troubleshoots analyzes inspects disassembles rebuilds modifies and tests factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics hydraulics and pneumatics

• Uses and interprets advanced blueprints and schematics to maintain and repair equipment

• Responds to requests for equipment repair

• Maintains and manages component and replacement part inventories

• Works under limited supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston SC (BSC)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 1 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or fabrication

• 1 year of experience repairing production manufacturing equipment

• 1 year of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g. blueprint/schematic reading specification change design)

• 1 year of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM) Oscilloscopes AC/DC Power supplies Frequency Generators and/or Power Meters

• 1 year of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word Excel and Outlook)

• Availability to work variable shifts with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 3 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or fabrication

• 3 year of experience repairing production manufacturing equipment

• 3 year of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g. blueprint/schematic reading specification change design)

• 3 year of experience working with Digital Volt Meters (DVM) Oscilloscopes AC/DC Power supplies Frequency Generators and/or Power Meters

• 3 year of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word Excel and Outlook)

• Ability to maintain a periodic maintenance program in a production environment

This position is for variable shift (shift 4).Variable shift means you will be assigned a shift at the time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on your assigned work shift until re-evaluation is required. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift.
