Job Summary
Position Summary
The purpose of the Production Coordinator role is to facilitate the smooth movement of shop orders and materials throughout the organization. This is primarily done through scheduling order entries checking component availability and shop capacity to meet the scheduled date. This position will work closely with the Planner Supervisor and Production Associates to ensure customer expectations are met where possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Along with those identified below other duties may be assigned.
Transacting shop orders and purchase orders through our ERP software. Managing the tracking of direct shipments to our customers from our supplier in Mexico. Also processing the invoices once those orders ship.
Reviewing shop floor orders and issuing clean buildable orders to the group leaders and/or supervisors. This may also entail updating the raw material shortage files.
Assists in expediting process as required.
Coordinating customer required paperwork with the shipping department to ensure all relevant documents are provided to shipping in a timely manner. Also will support open order tracking from APD2 and provide information to planners.
Responsible for purchasing MRO items as required by business conditions.
Responsible for ensuring production and engineering samples are built tracked and shipped with support of team.
Supports shipping activities as needed including potential back up for shipping supervisor and/or supporting weekend overtime activities
Take direction from the Planners Supervisors and Management
Work across department Quality Engineering etc to eliminate roadblocks.
Clerical work: filing record keeping organizing.
Qualifications and Experience Levels
High School diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
Experience with Microsoft office tools.
Good organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
Skills and Attributes
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail with being results driven.
Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.
Expected Base Salary Range: $41400 $86500
The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the companys basepaycompensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors including but not limited to the physical worksite location the geographic market of that location candidates skill set level of experienceeducationand internal peer compensationcomparisons among other potential factors.
