Job Summary
The Production Control Clerk supports manufacturing operations by compiling tracking and maintaining production data to ensure efficient workflow and accurate reporting. This role plays a critical part in coordinating production activities monitoring material usage and helping maintain consistent output in a fast-paced aerospaceprecision machining FunctionsTo accomplish this job an individual must be able to perform each essential function. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential production metrics including materials used scrap rates/patterns departmental productivity and aging work in processMonitor material inventory levels and assist in maintaining adequate supply to support uninterrupted productionConduct inventory cycle count to ensure system accuracyTrack and update machine load schedules to ensure balanced workflow and optimal equipment utilizationAssist in production flow by making sure parts are moving smoothly through the company while also identifying production bottlenecks and support continuous improvement effortsEnsure accuracy and integrity of all production records and reportsAssist planning in getting controlled documents to the shopPerforms other tasks and/or assignments as requiredRegular attendance on-site at the workplace is requiredThis role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15):An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship orAn individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e. a Green Card holder) orAn individual who is granted status as a protected personRequired Education and Work ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED equivalentA minimum of two (2) years of related experience in manufacturing production control or a similar fieldOther Required Skills and AbilitiesBasic understanding of manufacturing processes preferably within aerospace or precision machiningAttention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Experience using ERP/MRP systems is preferredAbility to analyze data and generate accurate reportsEffective communication and teamwork skillsCritical thinking problem-solving and time management abilitiesExperience with production scheduling or inventory control systems is preferredPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentTo perform the essential functions of the role employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility and sit for long periods working on a computerOccasionally lift carry (short distances) and push/pull up to 50 pounds using peer assistance and/or other lifting & material handling equipmentOccasionally reaches overhead and reaches out or down to perform dutiesOccasionally bend crawl stoop squat or kneelWorking ConditionsWork is performed in both an office and in the manufacturing shop environment where working conditions may vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:Excessive noise (hearing protection required)Dust smoke mist fumes/vapors (regularly)Extreme temperatures (occasionally)Hazardous equipment including forklifts hand tools cranes or other lifting devices and other equipment used in a machine shop environment (continually)The use of PPE including hearing protection eye and hand protection and safety footwear is required.
