Job Description
POSITION: Production Associate Solderer
REPORTS TO: Cell Team Leader
AREA: Production
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school education or equivalent
Ability to read and understand assembly documentation
Hand dexterity and hand/eye coordination
Verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of related tools and equipment
Works well in team environment
IPC-A-610 certification
IPC-J-STD-001 Certified in soldering for both Thru-hole and SMT
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
Assemble and inspect electrical panels/circuit boards/assemblies per related documentation and drawings
Trim and form leaded parts
Use a soldering iron to build basic electrical assemblies per the related documentation
Properly fill out production documentation
Communicate with Cell Team Leaders on parts shortages and problems
Final assembly and/or pack and ship as
Rotate to different workstations and different cells as needed
As required complete hour-by-hour forms or other documentation for cycle time/performance analysis
Component preparation placement and installation
Mechanical assembly as
Participate in training and certification programs to ensure job knowledge and skills set requirements are updated regularly
Perform hand soldering inspection and touch-up of thru-hole/SMT mixed assemblies and custom parts as per specifications and IPC workmanship standards
Perform rework of thru-hole/SMT mixed assemblies and custom parts as per specifications and IPC workmanship standards
