Job Summary

$21.00 Hr $1.50 Shift Differential

2:00pm - 10:30pm



General Description:

This position is a key member of a team responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of equipment used for batching and packaging of various dry mix adhesive mortars and similar type products.


Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in stopping and correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Demonstrate daily evidence of continuous improvement efforts of 5S and autonomous maintenance.
  • Treat quality as a key pillar of our success by always Doing the right thing for our customers.
  • Solve problems daily by working together as an engaged team member
  • Help in the relief of breaks as needed
  • Maintain records and documentation
  • Understand production standards and perform quality inspection of product as required
  • Understand quality specifications and run processes to conform to them
  • Skillful at troubleshooting mechanical issues with machinery to keep it operational
  • Make adjustments to production equipment as needed
  • Make product changeovers as needed
  • Communicate with Supervisor on Safety Quality and Production issues
  • Comply with occupational safety regulations including LO/TO
  • Maintain good housekeeping on the production floor
  • Operate a forklift safely storing finished goods and retrieving raw materials
  • Performs required tasks & record-keeping for cleaning and minor preventative maintenance repairs
  • Capable of providing training and guidance to new employees
  • Proven leadership skills working in a team environment
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements

Experience:

  • Familiar with Man/Machine Interface
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Math Skills
  • Familiar with the operation of automated production equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine issues
  • Experience with an ERP
  • Understand functions and operation of each machine and its related controls
  • Forklift Operation
  • Team Player who works well with others
  • Good communicator verbally and in writing
  • Ability to remain calm in a crisis situation.
  • Available to work different shifts and overtime as required.


Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent


Physical Requirement:

  • This position requires walking sitting or standing to a significant degree and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently lifting less than 10.
