Job Summary
This role is opening as a Histopathology Technician.
Responsibilities
Responsible for histological procedures in an accredited CAP/CLIA laboratory.
Assistance in the gross room accessioning cassette and slide labeling.
Ability to work efficiently without much supervisory direction over hours as needed.
Prepares tissue samples for routine microscopic analysis and further complex testing.
Maintains and operates laboratory equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and procedures.
Demonstrates knowledge of quality safety and compliance programs.
Investigates documents communicates and resolves needs problems or complaints.
Performs area-specific support/clinical activities.
Train other testing personnel
Qualifications and Experience
High School Graduate or equivalent
3 years experience in a Histopathology Laboratory preferred.
License/Certification: HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) or eligible for either certification. Project Code :
