Job Summary
- Conducts quality control testing on products and raw materials on the plant floor warehouse distributions centers.
- Utilizes and/or adapts inspection equipment to meet quality control standards make suggestions about procedures standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
- Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures.
- Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits if standard practices.
- Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials products or process quality and reliability.
- Confers with plants suppliers and customers to achieve product quality to specification.
- Managing and maintaining yield standards
- Managing and updating costing files for products
- Maintains time and production records.
- Compiles and maintains inspections records and quality audits yields and other reports.
- Maintain KPIs 5s program
- Engage in process improvement plans
- May assume other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification
- Minimum of one-year supervisory experience
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in quality control in a retail or manufacturing environment
- Experience in food manufacturing quality assurance preferred
- Ability to speak read and write English
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Word Outlook Excel Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.
- Good math skills
- Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
- Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with others
- Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.
