What will make you successful:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
3-5 years in new product development; residential door window glass IG and/or building materials background STRONGLY preferred.
SolidWorks/CAD proficiency (able to execute drawings when needed not just direct); DFMEA DVP&R FEA cost estimating; stage-gate process experience; basic Microsoft Office
Proven ability to take a concept from idea through prototyping testing and production launch; broad engineering principles with hands-on problem solving skills and curiosity
Effective communication and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks independently.
Familiarity with injection molding extrusion and plastics; familiarity with wood metal and general residential fenestration materials; basic understanding of electrical systems a plus
Cross functional teamwork with design program management finance and manufacturing; able to delegate hold others accountable and communicate technical direction clearly.
Develop and run test plans for novel concepts; manage priorities and multiple tasks independently with strong time management.
Oracle or ERP system experience.
