Product Engineer, Talent Experience

Youll work alongside researchers operators and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco NYC or London offices.

As a Member of Technical Staff of the talent experience team youll be a generalist full-stack engineer supporting execution across Mercors talent experience product horizonwherever the highest-leverage work is.

Mercor ships fast across multiple product surfaces used by tens of thousands of AI experts and the worlds leading AI labs. Youll be the engineer teams can rely on to parachute into a product area ramp quickly and deliver polished customer-facing experienceswith a lean toward frontend craft while remaining effective across the full stack.

Youll join a small high-velocity engineering team with significant ownership. From your first week youll ship production code contribute to technical decisions and work directly with product leaders across the organization. This role rewards versatility: the engineers who thrive here get energy from context-switching learning new domains fast and raising the quality bar everywhere they go.

• Design build and ship high-quality full-stack product features across multiple product areas.

• Build polished intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks with strong attention to UX detail.

• Own features end-to-endfrom product discussions and technical design to implementation testing and release.

• Move between product areas as priorities evolve ramping quickly on unfamiliar codebases and domains.

• Collaborate closely with Product Design AI and Backend Engineering to deliver customer-facing experiences.

• Build reusable components and contribute to shared frontend patterns and design systems.

• Leverage modern AI coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining a high engineering bar.

• Solve real customer problems and continuously improve expert and customer experience.

• 25 years of professional software engineering experience building production web applications.

• Strong proficiency in modern frontend development (e.g. React TypeScript) with genuine care for UI polish and user experience.

• Solid full-stack capabilitycomfortable building and consuming backend APIs and working with production databases.

• Track record of shipping across multiple product areas or codebases; you ramp fast and thrive on variety.

• Comfortable building products using modern AI development tools (e.g. Cursor Claude Code GitHub Copilot Codex or similar) to accelerate software development.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals including testing debugging and performance optimization.

• Excellent product intuitionyou enjoy building products that people actually use.

• Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities.

• High ownership curiosity and a bias toward shipping.
