Job Summary

The Product Engineer III is responsible for designing developing and launching innovative products from concept through production. This role applies advanced engineering principles to create manufacturable cost-effective and high-quality products while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product performance manufacturing efficiency and continuous innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead new product development (NPI) projects from concept through production.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Design for Assembly (DFA) and Value Engineering principles.
  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD models engineering drawings Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product specifications.
  • Perform structural analysis FMEA material selection and product validation testing.
  • Support prototype builds evaluate manufacturability and implement design improvements.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Manufacturing Supply Chain Quality and Customer Experience teams.
  • Support pilot production builds and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Improve engineering documentation design standards and development processes.
  • Research new materials construction methods and product innovations.
  • Promote AI-driven engineering tools and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design or a related field.
  • 7 years of product or mechanical engineering experience.
  • Experience leading products from concept through production.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software) and PDM/PLM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of metal plastic wood materials and structural design.
  • Experience with DFM DFA Lean Manufacturing and Value Engineering.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with furniture or consumer products global manufacturing structural testing and sustainability standards is preferred.
