Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to design and release of Ride Control LLC products. The incumbent will be responsible for all tactical aspects of the design and engineering of the product including technical specifications design standards and product addition providing engineering and technical support to customers and internal departments application engineering activities and documentation to support all activities.
Principle Responsibilities
- Scheduling work and providing problem-solving support.
- Review drawings for accuracy before release for prototyping mass production and customer approval.
- Design review and technical direction.
- Familiar with project planning and tracking processes.
- Familiar with engineering and product design standards and materials.
- Familiar with test requirements procedures and development of DVP.
- Familiar with requirements of APQP and PPAP.
- For new or changed processes ensure the process will meet customer requirements delivery requirements and the most effective operational setup.
- Understanding of standard product design and its relationship to manufacturing and processes.
- Organization of project needs and implementations (i.e. determine cost projections versus actual incurred risk assessment versus advantages gained development of production BOM etc.).
- Work with the product development teams and management to provide input for make vs. buy decisions.
- Provide input to Bills of Material and routing as necessary to maintain inventory control financial controls and customer quality standards.

Hard Competencies:
- This position required IATF and other designated training.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar engineering or product management role.
- Experience with chassis suspension systems and related components including shock absorbers preferred.
- Strong understanding of the automotive industry; experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automotive suspension design performance and functionality.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish or Mandarin are a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% as business needs require.
