Required Education/Experience:
The position of Product Development Manager - APQP requires a bachelors degree or its foreign equivalent in a related engineering field and five (5) years of progressively responsible post baccalaureate industrial/manufacturing experience. Two (2) years of this experience must involve executing launch processes and working with EV customers.
Additionally the applicant must have experience in the following:
- GD & T
- PFMEA
- Control Plan
- Quality Control
- Development Leadership:
- Oversee Products from POC (Proof of Concept) through industrialization / production.
- Oversee capability through the processes to ensure effective quality and efficiency. (APQP)
- Process Optimization:
- Evaluate and refine parameters to ensure product consistency quality and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate in Development projects to improve extrusion productivity reduce scrap rates and optimize die performance.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers technicians. Responsible for performance management of the OPEX Tech Center team.
- Foster a culture of safety reliability and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Collaborate with commercial quality production and supply chain teams to align on trials plans and process requirements
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and enforce safety practices related to equipment and extrusion processes.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize data analytics to drive performance improvement and process capability.
- Create Development to Industrialization metrics and KPIs to track process efficiency and operational goals.
Opportunity to telecommute from any location in the U.S. Up to 25% domestic and international travel is required.
