Job Description:
- Instron is preferred
- College Graduate mechanical or biomedical engineering is preferred
- Independently plans and performs experiments that support new product or technology feasibility testing.
- Critically analyzes data generated from experiments. Synthesizes resulting evaluations of product and technology feasibility as well as ideas and concepts and records them in an R&D Notebook.
- Reports results of experiments to R&D management and peers. Advises of the product development implications arising from the results and when necessary prepares technical reports.
- Supports the IDS intellectual property strategy by documenting data and independent unique and patentable ideas that result from experimentations and concept generation.
- Maintains scientific equipment as necessary to support scientific and technical objectives as well as regulatory and governance requirements.
- Maintains good laboratory practices (GLP) consistent with IDS product development objectives and regulatory guidelines.
- Interfaces with engineering to support experimental designs and performs testing of product produced experimentally as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors in mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
- Minimum 1-5 years direct laboratory experience
