Product Design Engineering Program Manager- Home

Home PD EPM drives the development validation and assembly of mechanical components for new Home products typically from architecture definition to mass production. This role provides a unique opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with program management skills and leadership level exposure.

Manage the planning and execution of product prototype builds leading cross-functional teams and external vendors to meet design goals schedules and quality requirements. Youll understand the complexities of product design integration and processes collaborate with teams to facilitate feedback through the internal design review process. Maintain good communication and provide multiple levels of status to individual contributors and executive management.

Drive upstream component/module builds to fulfill system engineering build demands. nManage design releases and tooling kickoff with PD Engineering and vendorsnCollaborate and facilitate communication across multiple engineering teams operations industrial design and our vendor partners to meet aggressive quality schedule and cost goalsnUnderstand technical issues u0026 complex design trade-offs. Drive to closure by bringing together key stakeholders; facilitating decision-making discussions to meet overall project objectivesnIdentify risks develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution within and between teams focus on top level objectives and develop best course of actionnCreate/maintain complex and detailed project schedules for product enclosure and internal mechanical components. Respond quickly to changes and minimize project impactnProvide timely issue resolution and critical path management as top priorities shift

BS degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred n3 years of experience in program management or mechanical engineering design in product development nExcellent communication presentation organizational and leadership skills

Strong technical background in EE or ME. Masters in Engineering is a plus. nKnowledge of product development processes and manufacturing fundamentals; prior experience with metal stamping forging machining (CNC) die casting plastic injection molding and MIM highly desirablenExperience delivering products comprised of multiple materials with high aesthetic quality requirements nStrong attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage complex design strategies nAbility to manage complex build matrices and build planning through complex schedules nExperience interfacing with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineering and Design Systems Engineering Reliability Operations and Marketing nSelf-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities nRemains flexible and calm in the face of rapid development cycles uncertainty and shifting priorities nAbility to travel internationally to support builds.
